LET IT RAIN

“For after all, the best thing one can do when it is raining is let it rain.” ― Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Good morning,

SORROW AND HAPPINESS
I have experienced sorrow and happiness, neither of which is a permanent notion; my grandmother used to say: "There is no pain that last a hundred years", but unfortunately, neither does happiness.

Considering the life expectancy for most mortals in reasonable conditions, which is less than a hundred years, it is unlikely that I'd experience neither sorrow nor happiness pass that time. Thus, I feel that it's up to me to keep a good balance while I am navigating life's architecture, tolerating one, while embracing the other.

SIMPLE THINGS
The way I see the world around me it is in constant change, my experiences dictate a great deal as to which way I would drift my attention. The entirely perspective of the world and my priorities had been adjusting, seem to me, according to my age; thus now, I tent to do things in a more conscious way and also, in a much more simpler manner.

Lately, my most joyous occasions are packed with uncomplicated activities. For instance, I would rather have coffee with a friend, as oppose to a fancy dinner at a restaurant. A long walk to the beach, as oppose to a long trip to an exotic destination.

I had taken the time and looked at where my life is at the present time, I had written a small list of simple things or guilty pleasures that make my life fuller and more meaningful, therefore, I am happier because of that.

The list is presented as follow:

  • Bold coffee
  • Reading a good biography
  • Hold hands with William
  • Eating frozen yogurt with lots of rainbow sprinkles
  • Discover new music to play on the piano
  • Take Vortex for a walk
  • Watch Major masticate his treats
  • Watch comedians on YouTube
  • Listening to Leo Moracchioli's covers
  • Tell a joke

DOCTOR'S PRESCRPTION
Until recently, I'd never imagine that enganging in every day activities and at the same time, being genuinely happy because of it, could've been doable. Dear me! In only a few years, I figure, I'd be the happiest man on the planet if I can make it on time to the bathroom. Being realistic, as I allow myself to laugh about it, might well be, the medicine the doctor just prescribed.

The thing is, If I want to make it pass 70 years old, I have to be able to enjoy myself and the people around me, it is important also, to enjoy completely all the activities I am capable of doing right now in the present, continuing also, avoiding actively and aggressively Social Media.

RAINY DAY
The previous list includes things that I am always looking forward to do any day, any time. But to make my celebrated inventory, however; there were 3 things to consider at the time, and here they are:

  1. Do not resist or make excuses
  2. Stop controling each and every aspect of life's course
  3. Do not take things that serious

The piece of music represents the joyful moments in my daily life, moments that I cherish, a bright day is always around the corner. If you are playing this piece, think of the things in life that you are not able to change; but enjoing what you can nevertheless, and when it happens to be a rainy day, well, let it rain.

Thanks for reading.
